Nemesis Returns with Long-Awaited Fourth Album ‘VIP’

After nearly a decade of silence, Bangladeshi rock powerhouse Nemesis is making a long-anticipated return with the release of their fourth studio album, "VIP", set to drop on May 23 across all major digital platforms.
The announcement was made via the band’s official Facebook page, where they reflected on the eight-year journey since their last album, marked by personal evolution, a global pandemic, and societal unrest.
“Our last album was released exactly eight years ago,” the statement read. “In this long stretch of time, we’ve faced a global pandemic. We’ve witnessed the abuse of power. At times, we’ve been consumed by despair, yet we’ve also seen glimmers of hope. These 10 songs are a reflection of all those emotions.”
Known for their evocative lyricism and genre-defining sound, Nemesis’s new record promises a blend of gritty realism and optimistic resilience. “VIP” brings together 10 tracks that capture the raw emotional spectrum the band experienced over recent years — a narrative of despair, introspection, resistance, and ultimately, hope.
The album will feature previously released singles, including "Ghour", which debuted in December 2023 with a futuristic visual style directed by Cybertron, and "Bhanga Ayna", released in October 2024 — both of which mark a deeper, more introspective phase in the band’s evolution.
All tracks on VIP have been written and composed by frontman Zohad Reza Chowdhury, who also serves as the band's lead vocalist and guitarist. The current lineup includes Sultan Rafsan Khan and Ifaz Abrar Reza on guitars, Raquibun Nabi Ratul on bass, and Jeffrey Ovijit Ghosh on drums.
In support of the album, Nemesis is planning an extensive concert tour, with performances scheduled both in Bangladesh and abroad. While specific tour dates are yet to be announced, fans can expect a robust lineup of shows celebrating the band's return to the stage.
“VIP” will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other major streaming platforms starting May 23.
For long-time fans and new listeners alike, the return of Nemesis is not just a musical event — it’s the reawakening of a voice that has soundtracked an era of transformation in Bangladeshi rock.
