How to Fix EFT Data Errors: DSHE Spells It Out for 4,000+ Teachers

The government is disbursing salaries and allowances to teachers and staff of institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) through Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). However, due to data inaccuracies, around 4,000 teachers and staff are yet to receive their payments. DSHE has given these affected teachers and staff a window to correct their information and has issued detailed guidelines on the process. The deadline ends tomorrow, Sunday (September 21).
This was detailed in a recent notice signed by Professor B.M. Abdul Hannan, Director (College and Administration) of DSHE.
The notice states: "MPO funds for school and college teachers and staff under MPO are being provided via EFT starting from January 1, 2025. To facilitate the transfer of MPO funds through EFT, national ID and bank details are collected online through institution heads. During verification in the iBAS++ system, several teachers and staff's details—such as national ID numbers, date of birth, bank account numbers, and bank routing numbers—have been found incorrect and rejected. Additionally, some teachers and staff have joined other institutions, changing their current status. Moreover, during data submission for EFT, the 'current status' field was marked as resigned, suspended, or non-existent, preventing salary disbursement so far."
It further adds: "To ensure accurate data submission for teachers and staff, their EFT information has already been returned to the institutions. Institution heads are hereby directed to update and resubmit the correct information by September 21, 2025, following the attached manual (guidelines)."
Step-by-Step Guide to Correcting Data
Institution heads should use their MPO-related ID and password to log in to the DSHE's EMIS system under the MPO EFT module. Click on the "Data Update" option to access a page where all teachers and staff details for the institution will load. For any teacher or staff whose data needs correction, a symbol will appear to the far left of their name. Clicking on this symbol will open the details for editing. The institution head should correct the teacher's or staff's information, click "Update," and then submit it. A hard copy must be sent to the Upazila Secondary Education Office or the Regional Director's office for further processing.
The submitted data—for schools, to the Upazila Secondary Education Officer, and for colleges, to the relevant Regional Director—will be verified and forwarded to DSHE. Once verified through the iBAS system and confirmed accurate, the teacher's or staff's MPO funds will be transferred via EFT from the following month, with arrears disbursed starting from December 2024.
Similarly, for teachers under MPO who have transferred institutions or joined new posts, and whose status is currently marked as "resigned" in the present institution, their EFT data has been returned. This must also be corrected and submitted using the above method.
Additionally, data for teachers previously marked as dismissed, resigned, non-existent, or suspended/temporarily suspended during initial submission has been returned to the relevant institutions for correction. Institution heads can update both the details and status of such teachers/staff using the aforementioned process.
For teachers and staff who have retired and missed MPO payments from December 2024 due to erroneous EFT data submission, online correction is not possible. Their EFT details must be submitted in hard copy directly to the EMIS cell.
