86,000 Teachers to Receive Application Fee Refunds
The Ministry of Education has revised the recruitment policy for principals, assistant principals, headmasters, deputy headmasters, superintendents, and assistant superintendents in non-government schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical institutions, increasing the required teaching experience to 18 years. As a result, all previous applications under the old rules have been automatically cancelled, and the fees paid by approximately 86,000 applicants will be refunded.
A source at the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA) told The Daily Campus that the automatic cancellation of earlier applications is due to the significant change in the experience criterion. Once cancelled, the authority is legally required to refund the fees. Discussions are underway on the refund process, with mobile financial service provider bKash likely to be used for returning the money.
NTRCA Chairman Md. Aminul Islam said on Thursday (12 March): “We will discuss the matter today. After the discussion, a final decision will be taken. However, since the experience requirement has been changed, the possibility of application cancellation is high. If applications are cancelled, fees must be refunded.”
Meanwhile, a meeting has been called today (Thursday, 12 March) at 11:00 a.m. to discuss recruitment of principals in non-government institutions. NTRCA has issued a notice stating that the third meeting of the examination committee for the 8th NTRCA Recruitment Exam 2026 will be held under the chairmanship of the NTRCA Chairman in the authority’s conference room.
According to NTRCA sources, the meeting will discuss publication of the revised notification for the 8th recruitment exam. The agenda also includes finalizing the list of question paper setters and moderators, as well as organizing seminars or training workshops for question preparation and moderation.
