The historical continuum of Bangladesh's democratic struggles and historic victories—spanning from the 1952 Language Movement to the 2024 July Mass Uprising—is set to be showcased through a unique art exhibition organized by 'Lobelia', a voluntary organization dedicated to art and culture.

The seven-day art exhibition, titled "Odhikarer Shongram" (Struggle for Rights), will be officially inaugurated this coming Friday, June 19, at 6:00 PM at the National Art Gallery of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital.

The opening ceremony of this week-long exhibition will feature prominent national figures and state representatives. Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Senior Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Industrial Affairs, will grace the event as the Chief Guest.

Fakir Mahbub Anam Swapan, the Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Science, and Technology, and newly elected Member of Parliament from the Tangail-1 (Madhupur-Dhanbari) constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, will formally inaugurate the exhibition.

Eminent artist and Ekushey Padak recipient Professor Dr. Abdus Sattar is scheduled to present the keynote paper for the event. Sheikh Riazuddin Ahmed, Director General of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, will attend as a Special Guest, while the entire exhibition will be curated and supervised by renowned artist Zia Biplob.

The extensive seven-day exhibition is envisioned and organized by Benazir Ahmed Tito, an established businessman, politician, and the Assistant Organizing Secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee. Speaking to The Daily Campus, Tito highlighted the underlying philosophy behind the cultural initiative.

"Lobelia is an institution close to my heart, dedicated exclusively to cultivating art and culture. Approximately 70 young, talented artists have poured their creativity onto canvas to capture the chronological history of our struggles for democratic rights from 1952 to 2024. This themed exhibition is slated to be one of the largest and most distinct thematic art showcases in Bangladesh." — Benazir Ahmed Tito, Organizer, Lobelia

The organizer extended an open invitation to art enthusiasts, historians, and members of the general public to visit the gallery and experience this visual documentation of national resilience over the seven-day run.
