Admission Still Open at National University Even Without Merit List Placement
Following the publication of the 2025-26 undergraduate admission results, students who did not secure a spot in the first merit list still have several pathways to enrollment. National University (NU) authorities have confirmed that the admission process will continue through subsequent merit lists and the "Release Slip" phase.
According to university sources, while 229,765 students were placed in the initial merit list, thousands of seats remain to be filled. To ensure full enrollment across its affiliated colleges, the university will publish second and third merit lists in phases.

Release Slips and Degree Courses
For those who miss out on all three merit lists, the "Release Slip" phase offers a crucial final chance. During this stage, candidates who scored 35 or higher in the admission test can re-apply by providing a fresh list of preferred colleges and subjects, significantly increasing their chances of securing a seat.
Furthermore, students who did not achieve the minimum pass mark in the Honours admission test are not excluded from higher education. The university maintains an open window for these students to apply for Degree (Pass) courses under the National University framework.
