National University Degree Admission Applications Open Today, Here’s How to Apply

Applications for admission to the 2025-26 academic year Degree (Pass) programme at colleges affiliated with National University will open at 4pm today (Sunday). Students can apply until midnight on September 15, while classes for admitted students will begin on October 5.

National University announced the schedule in a notice signed on Saturday (August 15) by Dr Md Ashek Kabir Chowdhury, dean of the university’s School of Undergraduate Studies. According to the notice, separate course-wise merit lists will be prepared for each college based on applicants’ SSC and HSC results. If applicants have the same merit score, their SSC and HSC GPAs will be considered in a 40:60 ratio, followed, if necessary, by their total marks. If the tie remains, the younger applicant will receive priority.

The admission process will be completed in phases through the first merit list, second merit list, quota merit list, and first and second release slips. There will be no opportunity to apply through a third release slip this year.

Who Can Apply

Students who passed the SSC or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022 or 2023 and the HSC or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024 or 2025 are eligible to apply. Students who passed HSC (Vocational), HSC (Business Management and Technology) or Diploma-in-Commerce under the Technical Education Board can also apply. Applicants holding A-Level, O-Level or foreign certificates must apply directly to the dean’s office or by email according to the prescribed rules.

Students who obtained registration cards after enrolling in Honours, Honours Professional or Degree (Pass) programmes during the 2024-25 or 2025-26 academic years cannot apply for fresh admission in this academic year. However, they can cancel their previous admission and apply for the new academic year. If a student takes dual admission, both admissions and registrations will be considered cancelled.

Admission Application Fee Tk 1,000

Applicants must submit the preliminary application form and pay an application fee of Tk 1,000 to the relevant college, either through the mobile banking service specified by the college or directly.

The college will then deposit the prescribed fee to National University. College authorities will verify applicants’ information and confirm their applications online.

No applicant will be included in the merit list without confirmation by the college.

How to Apply

Applicants must visit the National University admission website and select Applicant Login, followed by Degree Pass. They then need to click Apply Now on the left side of the page.

Applicants must enter their SSC and HSC roll numbers to begin the application process. Their names and other relevant information will then appear on the website.

Next, applicants must select their preferred college through the College Selection Option based on division and district. The number of vacant seats in eligible subjects at the selected college will be displayed.

Applicants must then set their subject preferences from the eligible subjects and complete the form by entering subject choices for up to five colleges.

After completing the application, applicants must download the form and either print it on white offset paper or save a PDF copy. The form must be submitted to the relevant college, followed by payment of the fee through the process specified by the college.
