Google offers students free Gemini Pro and 400GB storage: How to claim it

Google is offering Bangladeshi university students free access to its Gemini Pro chatbot and 400GB of cloud storage for one year under its ‘Back to School’ programme. Students can also access higher Gemini usage limits and discounts of up to 70 percent on Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium subscriptions.

The Silicon Valley-based technology company opened the offer globally on Friday (August 21).

Under the offer, students will receive access to Gemini for one year, twice the regular Gemini usage limit and 400GB of free cloud storage, along with several other features.

Who is eligible?

University students in Bangladesh can access the offer free of charge. Applicants must have a personal Gmail account, proof of enrolment at a recognised university in Bangladesh and be at least 18 years old.

A university-issued student ID can be used as proof of enrolment.

How to claim the offer

First, log in to your personal Gmail account through a browser and visit the Google One Student Page.

Click the ‘Get Student Offer’ button, select Bangladesh as the country and enter your university and personal details.

Students then need to upload a photo of their student ID or the payment slip for their most recent semester fee and submit the application. Google will verify the submitted information and confirm eligibility within a few minutes, according to the information provided.

After verification, users need to add a payment method. Although the offer is free, an international payment-enabled card is required to activate the offer.
