41,627 Teachers Recommended for MPO Posts, NTRCA Sets Deadline

In a major boost for Bangladesh’s education sector, the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has recommended 41,627 candidates for entry-level teaching positions in MPO-listed private educational institutions. The appointments, pending police verification, are temporary, with institutions required to issue appointment letters by September 18, 2025. Candidates must join within seven working days of receiving their letters, or face consequences.
On Tuesday afternoon, NTRCA Chairman Md. Aminul Islam handed over the results to Education Adviser Professor Choudhury Rafikul Abrar, sparking excitement for thousands awaiting their teaching careers. Failure to issue appointment letters on time will trigger action against institution heads and managing committees or governing bodies, per regulations, if candidates lodge complaints.
Institution heads can download appointment letters from the Teletalk website (http://ngi.teletalk.com.bd) using their user ID and password. Before issuing letters, a three-member committee, led by the institution head, must verify candidates’ educational qualifications, reviewing relevant certificates and NTRCA’s recommendation letter.
NTRCA emphasized that institutions bear full responsibility for issues arising from incorrect vacancy data, accepting joining letters without verification, or legal complications. The authority will not be liable in such cases. If a candidate is found to have provided false information or fails police verification, their recommendation will be canceled.
Upon joining, institution heads must confirm within seven working days by selecting “Yes” in the “Joining Status” option on the website. If a candidate fails to join, heads must select “No” and specify the reason, ensuring transparency in the process.
