Over 3,000 Teachers Apply for Transfer Within First 24 Hours

More than 3,000 applications have been submitted within the first 24 hours of opening the transfer application process for teachers of private MPO-listed schools and colleges. Online applications opened at 11am on Friday (August 21) and will remain open until August 27.

More than 3,000 applications had been submitted by noon on Saturday (August 22), according to a source in the technical department of Teletalk Bangladesh Limited. The source told The Daily Campus that teachers began submitting applications shortly after the process opened. Some technical problems were reported initially, but those have since been resolved and teachers are now able to apply without disruption.

Meanwhile, teachers visiting the designated website are shown seven conditions and instructions for applying for transfers. Teachers who do not meet the requirements cannot apply under the respective categories.

Under the conditions, a teacher can apply for transfer to a maximum of three institutions. To apply under the “own division” category, there must not be three or more vacant posts in institutions within the teacher’s own district. If three or more vacancies exist in the teacher’s own district, they cannot apply for a divisional transfer.

To apply under the “own district” or “own district and own division” categories, the teacher’s current workplace and own district cannot be the same.

For the “spouse’s workplace” category, the teacher cannot apply if their current workplace and their spouse’s workplace are in the same district.

Similarly, under the “spouse’s own district” category, applications are not allowed if the teacher’s current workplace and their spouse’s own district are the same.

Teachers must also have completed at least two years in their current job to be eligible for transfer. Those who have not completed two years, as well as teachers deemed ineligible or non-transferable, cannot apply.

Software developer SP International told The Daily Campus that teachers can apply through the designated website using the user ID and password sent to their mobile phones.

The company advised teachers to verify their personal information and eligibility before submitting an application. Those who do not meet a particular condition will not be able to apply under that category.

The transfer application process will continue until August 27, and eligible teachers must complete their applications within the stipulated timeframe.
