The written examination for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers in government primary schools will be held on Friday (2 January) as per the previous schedule. The Directorate of Primary Education has issued a fresh notification to this effect tonight, dispelling rumours of postponement that spread on social media following the suspension of another recruitment test earlier today.

A notification issued by the Directorate stated that the written test for Assistant Teacher posts in government primary schools will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on 2 January in the respective districts of the candidates. Examinees must enter the examination centre by 9:00 am.

The Directorate also informed that an SMS containing the admit card download link will be sent to the mobile number provided in the application from 01552-146056 at the appropriate time. Candidates can download their admit cards starting from 10:00 am tomorrow Saturday (27 December) by logging in to the website using their username and password, or by entering their SSC roll number, board, and passing year.

Key instructions for examinees:

Candidates must bring the colour printout of the downloaded admit card and their original National Identity Card (NID/Smart Card) to the examination hall. Instructions for filling the OMR sheet and other examination-related guidelines will be available on the admit card.

The notification strictly prohibits bringing mobile phones, books, answer scripts, notes or any other paper, calculator, vanity bag, purse, wristwatch or any watch-like object, electronic wristwatch, or any type of electronic device or communication device into the examination centre. If any such item is found with a candidate, he or she will be immediately expelled and legal action will be taken.

The Directorate has also advised candidates to remain vigilant against any fraudulent activities by unscrupulous individuals.

Earlier today (Friday, 26 December) afternoon, the written examination for the post of ‘Accounts Assistant’ under the Directorate of Primary Education was postponed shortly before commencement due to allegations of question paper leakage.

Following this, rumours circulated on social media that the Assistant Teacher recruitment examination scheduled for 2 January would also be postponed. The Directorate’s notification late tonight has clarified that the Assistant Teacher exam will proceed as planned.
