Student Pass Discount on Metro and All Trains
Students, persons with disabilities, and citizens above 65 years of age will receive a 25% fare discount on Metro Rail and all types of train services, announced Sheikh Robiul Alam, Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Bridges, and Railways.
The minister shared this information with journalists on Tuesday (3 March). He noted that while the decision has been taken, it will take some time to come into effect.
Sheikh Robiul Alam also assured that there is no risk of bus fare increases during the upcoming Eid journey. Necessary preparations have been made to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel for passengers.
He further stated that monitoring in the transport sector has been strengthened to keep Eid travel safe and normal, and relevant agencies have been given appropriate instructions.
