NSU Commemorates 19th Death Anniversary of Founder Trustee A.B.M. Kamal Uddin Khan

The Board of Trustees and the community of North South University (NSU) observed the 19th death anniversary of its late Founder Life Member, A.B.M. Kamal Uddin Khan, remembering his cornerstone contributions to the establishment and growth of the country's pioneer private university.

Late A.B.M. Kamal Uddin Khan was one of the distinguished visionary minds behind the inception of the NSU Foundation, which was later structured as the North South Foundation and subsequently reorganized into the North South Foundation for Education and Research. His proactive leadership and institutional foresight were highly instrumental in transitioning the foundation through its key operational stages, creating the regulatory and academic framework that ultimately shaped the present-day North South University (NSU) Trust.

Throughout his associated tenure, Kamal Uddin Khan served with distinction in multiple pivotal administrative capacities, including Chairman of the Board of Governors, Founder Life Member of the NSU Foundation, and an influential member of the university's then Parichalona Porshod (Managing Committee).

Beyond his monumental footprints in the higher education landscape of Bangladesh, A.B.M. Kamal Uddin Khan was widely respected across the national grid as a highly successful industrialist, a pioneering banker, and a noted philanthropist who silently spearheaded numerous social welfare initiatives.

Marking his 19th death anniversary, his family members, colleagues, and the current members of the NSU Board of Trustees held special prayers, soliciting divine blessings and eternal peace for the departed soul of the academic pioneer.
