5,000 NTRCA registrants set for relief as Technical & Madrasah Division meets today

Nearly 5,000 registered candidates who have been denied teacher appointments in MPO-listed institutions for years due to differing academic qualification rules across directorates are likely to get final clearance soon.
A crucial meeting of the Technical and Madrasah Education Division will be held today, Tuesday (25 November), to finalise educational qualification parity among the three directorates, effectively removing the long-standing institutional barrier.
The meeting, to be chaired by Division Secretary Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, is expected to approve the much-awaited equivalence through a special public notice.
Sources said separate qualification criteria maintained by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Directorate of Technical Education, and Directorate of Madrasah Education had created complications in teacher recommendation under the 6th NTRCA cycle, leaving thousands of eligible candidates stranded.
While the Secondary and Higher Education Division has already finalised and approved parity for all subjects under school and college levels, delay on the part of the Technical and Madrasah Division had kept the recommendations of around 5,000 candidates pending.
Following persistent demands from NTRCA registrants, the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) had kept provision for equivalence in its special public notice. With today’s meeting expected to seal the decision, the entire appointment process is set to move forward, bringing relief to the affected candidates.
