In a significant move ahead of the festive season, the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has slashed gold prices twice, providing substantial relief to consumers. Under the latest adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold has been reduced by 7,698 BDT per bhori, bringing the current market rate to 244,927 BDT.

According to a press release issued by BAJUS on Thursday (March 19), the new pricing took effect at 3:45 PM that day and remains the standard for sales this Tuesday. The association cited a decline in the price of pure gold (Tejabi gold) in the local market as the primary reason for the downward revision.
