Government Increases LPG Gas Prices for August; 12-kg Cylinder Set at Tk 1,598
Amid ongoing Middle East conflict and disruptions caused by damage to the floating LNG terminal in Maheshkhali, the government has increased Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices at the consumer level.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the adjusted tariff inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) in a notification issued on Sunday afternoon, aligning consumer prices with fluctuations in the international market. According to BERC's statement, the newly fixed rates will remain in force across retail outlets nationwide until further notice.
Prior to this revision, the retail price for a 12-kg LPG cylinder stood at BDT 1,528.
