Ending the prolonged anticipation of millions of football fans worldwide, Brazil's head coach Carlo Ancelotti is scheduled to officially unveil the national team's World Cup squad on Monday (May 18). The Italian tactician will present the final roster at 5:00 PM Brazilian Local Time—which corresponds to 2:00 AM Bangladesh Time (Tuesday night)—during a formal event at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro.

The primary center of attention regarding the 26-member final squad remains the inclusion or exclusion of Neymar Junior. As Brazil's all-time leading goalscorer with 79 international goals, the forward's participation has been heavily scrutinized. Plagued by physical injuries, inconsistent form, and off-field controversies, Neymar has remained out of the national team setup since 2023.

According to sources within the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the highly anticipated media briefing will be attended by approximately 700 journalists from various countries across the globe, including Argentina, England, Spain, El Salvador, and Bangladesh.

Football enthusiasts in Bangladesh and across the world can monitor the live coverage of the team selection directly from their homes. The event will be broadcast live by popular Brazilian television networks, including TV Globo, SporTV, and SBT. For mobile and digital audiences, the program will be streamed live on the digital platform GE TV and the official YouTube channel of CBF TV.

The upcoming FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, is set to commence on June 11, featuring 48 teams for the first time in tournament history. Drawn into Group C, the five-time world champions will face Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.

The Seleção will initiate their World Cup campaign against Morocco on June 13 at 4:00 AM Bangladesh Time. They will subsequently play their second group stage match against Haiti on June 20 at 6:30 AM, before wrapping up the group stage fixtures against Scotland on June 24 at 4:00 AM Bangladesh Time. Prior to the main event, Brazil will also feature in two international friendly matches on May 30 and June 6 as part of their warm-up preparations.
