Protesting Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) candidates have announced a "March to the Education Ministry" program scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, to press home their three-point demand, which includes the immediate resignation of the Education Minister.

The new program was announced at around 3:00 PM on Tuesday (July 14) by the demonstrating students blockading the Uttara area. While delivering the declaration, the students issued a formal ultimatum demanding the step-down of Education and Primary & Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon. Following the announcement, the protesters cleared the road in front of the Uttara BNS Center, allowing traffic to resume temporarily in that part of the city.

Meanwhile, intense demonstrations continue to unfold across other key areas of the capital. A highly volatile situation persists on the Dhaka University (DU) campus, where protesting candidates have taken up positions on the road connecting Nilkhet to the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC). A heavy contingent of police remains locked in a direct face-off with the students, while activists from the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal have positioned themselves on one side of the campus. Paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) forces have also been deployed in the university area to prevent any untoward escalation.

Simultaneously, at around 3:45 PM, another large wave of protesting students returned to re-occupy the crucial Science Laboratory intersection. The blockade has completely halted vehicular movement, leaving thousands of commuters and pedestrians in severe distress as traffic gridlocks ripple through adjacent areas of the capital.
