The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) is all set to conclude the long wait for over 640,000 students as it finalizes preparations to publish the Primary Scholarship Examination results by the end of this month. In anticipation of the declaration, the authority has already activated the result viewing links on its official IPEMIS live server.

Officials from the directorate confirmed the development to The Daily Campus today, Monday (June 22), stating that the primary tabulation process has entered its final verification stage.

Final Approvals Within Three Days

According to Dilip Kumar Sarkar, System Analyst of the DPE's Information Management Division, the data compilation is virtually complete, with only minor quality-assurance checks pending.

"The results are almost ready. We will hand over the final verified data packet to the Administration Division within the next three days. The administration will then formally schedule the exact publication date."

Corroborating the timeline, DPE Deputy Director (Establishment) A. S. M. Sirajuddoha stated that once the data is received from the information wing, the directorate will convene a high-level meeting and release the results within 24 hours. "We are highly confident that students will receive their results by the end of this current month," he added.

Quota Split and Seat Allocations

A total of 640,000 students sat for the examination this year, comprising 550,000 candidates from state-run primary institutions and approximately 90,000 from private kindergarten schools.

Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque outlined that due to the higher enrollment density in the public sector, 80% of the total scholarships have been reserved for government school students, while the remaining 20% will be distributed to private and kindergarten applicants.

Scholarship Category Total Allotments Government School Shares (80%) Private/KG School Shares (20%)
Talentpool  33,000 27,500 5,500
General 49,500 41,250 8,250
Total Grants 82,500 68,750 13,750

Disbursement Structures and Evaluation Criteria

The Education Minister announced that Talentpool recipients will receive a monthly stipend of 300 Taka, along with an annual one-time lump sum of 225 Taka. General scholarship recipients will receive 225 Taka monthly alongside an identical 225 Taka annual lump sum. The ministry is also actively considering an upward revision of these stipends for the next academic fiscal year.

Under the structural guidelines, a strict 50% gender quota will be maintained for both male and female students across all categories. Furthermore, Talentpool selections will be formulated strictly based on Upazila or Thana-level merit standings, while General scholarships will be assessed and awarded based on localized Union or Ward-level performance indicators.

The nationwide examination commenced on April 15 with the Bangla language assessment across 61 districts and concluded on April 18, while the three Chittagong Hill Tracts districts—Rangamati, Bandarban, and Khagrachhari—conducted their evaluations from April 17 to April 20. This year marked a historical shift as private kindergarten pupils were officially permitted to participate in the state-managed scholarship system for the first time.
