State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has announced that the government has initiated a comprehensive plan to gradually establish specialized "Math Labs" across all government primary schools nationwide. The State Minister made the disclosure on Thursday (June 18) during an official inspection visit to Glenrich International School in the capital's Satarkul area in Badda.

Speaking on the occasion, the State Minister emphasized that the initiative aims to enhance mathematical proficiency, logical reasoning, and problem-solving capacities among young learners right from the foundational primary level, ultimately raising a science- and technology-oriented generation.

Building a Technology-Driven, Knowledge-Based Foundation

Bobby Hajjaj noted that the global arena is rapidly transitioning toward a technology-dependent economy and a knowledge-based society. To keep pace with these shifts, it is imperative to solidify the foundations of mathematics, science, and innovative thinking among children from their early years. The "Math Lab" project is designed as part of creating a modern, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment in primary institutions.

"In line with our election manifesto and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's educational vision, we aim to build a primary education system where every student has the opportunity to prepare themselves as future scientists, engineers, researchers, and tech innovators. The Math Lab initiative is a critical step toward achieving that milestone. This endeavor will make our primary education more modern, skill-based, and technology-friendly, contributing significantly to the formation of a smart, knowledge-based Bangladesh."
