Google officials Meet Education Minister in London to Support 'One Teacher, One Tab' Initiative

Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon held a high-level meeting with senior officials of Google for Education on the sidelines of the ongoing Education World Forum 2026 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, United Kingdom.

The Google delegation was led by Colin Marson, Director of EMEA & Asia Pacific for Google for Education, and Oli Trussell, Solutions Engineering Lead for Google for Education, EMEA. According to an official press release received today, the meeting focused on deep technological collaboration to modernize Bangladesh's classroom infrastructure.

Expanding technology in public education

During the bilateral talks, the Google officials briefed the Education Minister on the tech giant's ongoing international initiatives aimed at expanding digital tools to reform and develop public education systems across various developing nations.

The discussion pivoted toward aligning Google’s global expertise with the Bangladesh government's strategic vision of leveraging frontline technology to meet its national educational milestones.

Strategic backing for 'One Teacher, One Tab'

Particular emphasis was placed on how Google could technically assist and accelerate the implementation of the ministry's newly launched “One Teacher, One Tab” program.

The ambitious project, which aims to equip educators across Bangladesh with individual digital tablets, is expected to benefit significantly from Google’s specialized ecosystem, software solutions, and engineering support. The partnership intends to ensure that teachers nationwide acquire advanced technological competencies and modern pedagogical skills to enhance the overall quality of secondary and higher education.
