National University extends honours admission deadline for the third time
The National University has extended the online preliminary application deadline for the 2025-2026 academic session first-year honours admission for the third time. Applicants can now submit their forms until 12 midnight on 22 February 2026.
The decision was announced in an urgent notice published on the university’s admission website.
Interested candidates must complete the preliminary application form online through the university’s official admission portal.
The application fee of Tk 1,000 must be paid through mobile banking as specified by the respective college or directly at the college. The last date for fee payment is 23 February 2026.
Colleges must confirm the online preliminary applications of applicants by 24 February 2026.
The university has instructed that out of the collected fee, Tk 700 per applicant (the university’s share) must be deposited into the designated account at any branch of Sonali Bank between 25 February and 4 March 2026.
The date, time and centre list for the admission test will be announced later through a separate notice.
Applicants are advised to carefully read the Honours Admission Guideline section on the website for all conditions and instructions. All rules and conditions in the original admission circular remain unchanged.
Previously, the first phase of applications ran from 23 November last year (4 pm) to 31 December (midnight). The second phase was later extended until 31 January. With the latest extension, the application window has now been rescheduled up to 22 February.
For the 2025-2026 session first-year honours admission, separate 100-mark MCQ admission tests will be held for students from humanities, science and business studies backgrounds at the higher secondary level.
The MCQ test will consist of 100 questions to be answered within one hour. Merit lists will be prepared separately for each college and subject on the basis of a total of 200 marks: 40 per cent weightage on SSC GPA (including fourth subject), 60 per cent weightage on HSC GPA (including fourth subject), and 100 marks from the MCQ admission test. No negative marking will be applied for wrong answers in the MCQ test.
