Trump, Melania Host Yunus and Daughter at New York Reception

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted a reception for Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and his daughter Deena Yunus on September 23 in New York.
The event took place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where Professor Yunus is attending the 80th session. At the reception, Yunus extended an invitation to President Trump to visit Bangladesh at a convenient time.
He also exchanged pleasantries with several world leaders, including King Felipe VI of Spain, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay. The group posed for a photo, which was shared on the Chief Adviser's verified Facebook page.
Yunus met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor at the same event. The reception underscored Bangladesh's renewed diplomatic engagement under the interim government, focusing on reforms and global partnerships.
