Massive attack on NCP leaders, workers in Dhaka
An incident of attack and hacking injuring six leaders and activists of National Citizen Party (NCP) has occurred in Mirpur of the capital.
On Saturday (21 December) evening, the attack took place in the water tank area of Mirpur-2.
The six injured in the attack were rescued and taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.
Later, as one of them's condition deteriorated, he was sent to National Institute of Neurosciences Hospital for advanced treatment.
Locals said on Saturday evening, local NCP leaders and activists went to the residence of Awami Muktijuddha Projanmo League leader Hosneara Sadique with police.
At that time, the incident of attack on NCP leaders and activists occurred in presence of police. Later, law enforcement agencies rescued the injured from the spot and took them to Shaheed Suhrawardy
Medical College Hospital.
The injured leaders and activists alleged that the attack was carried out under the leadership of local BNP leader Harun and Kamal.
They also alleged that former Awami League activists were involved with them.
Meanwhile, after the attack incident, NCP senior joint convener Ariful Islam Adib went to see the injured at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital that night.
He claimed local BNP leader Harun and Picchi Kamal were involved in this incident and demanded their quick trial.
