Grave being dug for Osman Hadi beside poet Nazrul's mausoleum
Martyr Sharif Osman Hadi will be buried beside the mausoleum of poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Today Saturday (20 December) after 11:30 am, digging of his grave has started beside the Central Mosque of Dhaka University.
Meanwhile, his janaza namaz will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 pm at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The namaz will be led by Hadi's elder brother Abu Bakr Siddique.
On that day, autopsy was completed after taking the body from the morgue of National Heart Disease Institute to the morgue of Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital at 9:30 am. Yesterday 19 December shortly before 6 pm in the evening, the Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying his body landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Later, his body was kept at the morgue of National Heart Disease Institute.
Earlier, on 18 December night, Osman Hadi's death was also announced on his verified Facebook page. In the post given at 9:44 pm, it was written, ‘Allah has accepted great revolutionary Osman Hadi as a martyr in confronting Indian hegemony.’
For context, Sharif Osman Hadi was shot on 12 December after Juma prayers in Box Culvert area of Bijoynagar in Dhaka. Born in 1993, Hadi was a political activist and speaker of the country. He was known as spokesperson of political-cultural organisation Inqilab Moncho formed after the July mass uprising. He had announced to contest from Dhaka-8 constituency in the thirteenth national parliament election.
