Hadi’s Family Urges Use of Only National Flag at Janaza Venue
The family of martyr Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho, has urged everyone not to bring any flags other than the national flag to the janaza venue.
Today Saturday (20 December), this information was shared in a post on Inqilab Moncho's verified Facebook page.
The post said, ‘No flags other than the Bangladesh flag will be at the janaza namaz venue. The family has urged your overall cooperation.’
Earlier, the Chief Adviser's press wing said the janaza namaz of martyr Osman Hadi will be held at 2 pm on Saturday at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. Several conditions have also been imposed by the government for participating in the janaza.
Neurosurgery doctor of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital and member-secretary of National Health Alliance (NHA) Dr. Md. Abdul Ahad said the janaza namaz of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi will be led by Hadi's elder brother Abu Bakar Siddique.
Even earlier, on Thursday (18 December) night, Hadi's death was announced on his verified Facebook page. In the post given at 9:44 pm, it was written, ‘Allah has accepted great revolutionary Osman Hadi as a martyr in confronting Indian hegemony.’
On Friday (19 December) around 5:45 pm, Osman Hadi's body arrived in Dhaka. Later, the body was taken to the morgue from the airport. After janaza on Saturday, he will be buried beside poet Kazi Nazrul Islam at Dhaka University, Inqilab Moncho said.
For context, Sharif Osman Hadi was shot on 12 December after Juma prayers in Box Culvert area of Bijoynagar in the capital. Born in 1993, Hadi was a political activist and speaker. He gained recognition as spokesperson of political-cultural organisation Inqilab Moncho formed after the July mass uprising. Besides, he had announced to contest from Dhaka-8 constituency in the thirteenth national parliament election.
