Doctors are waiting for the health of Sharif Osman Hadi, convener of Inqilab Moncho and prospective independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency, to stabilise as he undergoes treatment in Singapore.
Inqilab Moncho announced this in a post on their Facebook page on Wednesday (17 December).

The status said, "Waiting for health to stabilise. To prepare for surgery, the body must first be completely stabilised. Treatment may take place in Singapore or England. Surgery is needed to activate the brain.

The current main objective is to re-establish connection between the body and brain. All organs of the body except the brain remain active."

It further said, "His family has requested special prayers for Hadi Bhai. May Allah grant him hayat-e-tayyibah (a good and blessed life)."

Earlier, on Sunday (14 December), following Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus's directive, an emergency conference call was held between Cultural Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Health Ministry Affairs Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, Evercare Hospital specialist Dr Zafar, and Hadi's brother Omar Bin Hadi, where the decision was made to send Hadi to Singapore.

Later on Monday (15 December), Osman Hadi was taken to Singapore by air ambulance for advanced treatment. Within approximately one hour of landing, he was safely taken to Singapore General Hospital.
Notably, after being shot in Dhaka's Paltan area at noon on Friday (12 December), he was initially taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). He was later transferred to Evercare Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment since then.
