Bangladeshi People’s support is our strength and inspiration: Tarique Rahman

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that the collective support of the people of Bangladesh remains the greatest source of strength and inspiration for his family.

In a Facebook post today Tuesday (2 December), he expressed profound gratitude to people across the world for their prayers and good wishes for the recovery of BNP Chairperson and his mother Begum Khaleda Zia.

“On behalf of the Zia family and BNP, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone for the overwhelming support and prayers being offered for Begum Khaleda Zia’s speedy recovery from different corners of the globe,” he wrote.

He added: “The concern shown by leaders, diplomats and friends from various countries, alongside the boundless love and prayers from the people of Bangladesh, has deeply touched our hearts and emotions.”

Stating that the united backing of the countrymen is the real strength and inspiration for the family, Tarique Rahman said: “We are continuously praying for the swift recovery of our affectionate leader. In this difficult time, we remain immensely grateful to every individual for their unity, empathy and solidarity.”
