RUET Admission Test Concludes, Expected Result Date Announced
The undergraduate admission test for the 2025–2026 academic session at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) concluded successfully today. The main examination for the 'KA' group began at 9:30 AM and ended at 12:00 PM across centers in Rajshahi and Dhaka.
For candidates in the 'KHA' group (Engineering, URP, and Architecture), an additional 200-mark Freehand Drawing and Visual & Spatial Intelligence evaluation was held from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM exclusively at the RUET campus.
Result Publication Date
According to RUET sources and the official admission portal, the tentative date for the publication of the admission test results is February 6, 2026. Candidates will be able to check their merit positions on the university's official admission website: admission.ruet.ac.bd.
Key Statistics and Competition
This year, a total of 18,277 candidates competed for 1,235 available seats across 14 departments. For the first time, to ease the travel burden on students, the exam was conducted simultaneously at two major centers:

BUET Center (Dhaka): 9,800 candidates.
Department-wise Seat Distribution
The university offers a total of 1,230 general seats and 5 reserved seats (1 for Bandarban residents and 4 for ethnic minorities). The primary departments include:

Specialized Fields: ETE (60), ECE (60), IPE (60), Mechatronics (60), and Chemical (30).

The RUET administration reported that the examination process was peaceful and followed strict security protocols. Following the result publication on February 6, successful candidates will be required to provide their department preferences (Subject Choice) through the online portal.
