North South University’s School of Business and Economics (SBE), the largest business school in Bangladesh, launched Season 1: Lifelong Learning Network under its Alumni Connect Series on Tuesday (2 December).

The initiative seeks to strengthen ties between SBE alumni, current students, faculty members and the wider NSU community while reinforcing the school’s commitment to developing business leaders capable of creating sustainable economic and social impact.

The event featured contributions from NSU’s leadership and alumni working at global and local organisations, including PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), IFAD Group, Virginia Tech University (USA), Grameenphone Ltd and Palladium Group.

Participants discussed opportunities and challenges in building a lifelong learning society that ensures continuity and adaptability for the business community. They emphasised that lifelong learning must be a deliberate pursuit combining passion, humility, resilience and both human and technical skills.

The programme highlighted SBE’s sustained pursuit of excellence, which has earned international recognition. In the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, the school ranked among the top 401–450 globally in Business and Management Studies. It also holds ACBSP accreditation and is a member of CABS, reflecting its adherence to international quality standards and focus on continuous improvement.
