JKKNIU Student Habiba Loses Life After Falling from Roof
A student of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University tragically died after falling from the roof of her residence. She was Umme Habiba Riju, a student of the Film and Media Studies department.
According to family sources, Riju passed away on Monday afternoon (16 March) after falling from the roof of her house.
The talented student’s untimely death has cast a pall of grief across the university.
Riju, from the 2018-19 academic session, had completed her graduation from the Film and Media Studies department. She is survived by a son and a daughter. Her husband, Md. Rashidul Islam, is a veterinary doctor.
Head of the Film and Media Studies department, Dr. Zillur Rahman Paul, said: “We are deeply shocked by the untimely death of our student Riju. We are trying to contact her family. May Almighty Allah grant her Jannat.”
