Father, Mother, and Son Killed in Road Crash While Returning Home for Eid
A family of three — a father, mother, and their young son — died after a truck hit their motorcycle while they were returning home for Eid-ul-Fitr in Patgram Upazila, Lalmonirhat.
The accident occurred on Tuesday morning (17 March) near Mirzarkot Model Mosque in the upazila. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazmul Haque of Patgram Police Station confirmed the incident.
The deceased are Sharif Islam (35), his wife, and their son. Sharif’s home is in Monsapur village, Alirhat Union, Hakimpur Upazila, Dinajpur. He worked at a private NGO in Patgram. Another injured person — their daughter — has been taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
According to police and local sources, Sharif left Patgram on a motorcycle with his wife, son, and daughter to celebrate Eid at his village home in Dinajpur. Upon reaching Mirzarkot area, a reckless truck coming from the opposite direction collided with them. Sharif, his wife, and son died on the spot. The critically injured daughter was rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
