All DU admission test results to be published by 20 January

Dhaka University (DU) authorities have said all unit-wise results of the 2025-26 undergraduate admission tests will be published by 20 January, within one month of each respective test.
The Fine Arts Unit admission test was held on Saturday (29 November), while the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) test took place on Friday (28 November). The last test, for the Science Unit, is scheduled for 20 December, and the result is expected to be published by 20 January.
Speaking to The Daily Campus on Sunday (30 November), Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof Dr Azharul Islam Sheikh said the Fine Arts Unit result is expected to be ready within 20 days, after which the central university administration will decide the publication date.
IBA Director Prof Shakil Huda said the BBA programme result is likely to be published on or around 24 December.
Member of the DU Online Admission Committee Prof Shariful Islam told The Daily Campus, “Each unit will publish its result separately. There is a decision to release results within one month of the respective test. Since the last admission test is on 20 December, all unit results will be published by 20 January.”
This year, DU received a total of 271,910 applications, around 57,000 fewer than the 329,000 applications last year. On average, 44 candidates are competing for each seat.
Unit-wise application and competition
- IBA Unit: 9,052 applications for 120 seats (79.38 per seat)
- Fine Arts Unit: 6,521 applications for 130 seats (50.16 per seat)
- Business Studies Unit: 34,059 applications for 1,050 seats (32.43 per seat)
- Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit: 107,701 applications for 2,934 seats (36.70 per seat)
- Science Unit: 114,103 applications for 1,851 seats (61.64 per seat)

- Business Studies Unit: 6 December (Saturday)
- Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit: 13 December (Saturday)
- Science Unit: 20 December (Saturday)
All tests will be held from 11:00am to 12:30pm.
