BAF Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Jashore Airbase
A training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force made an emergency landing at Bangladesh Air Force Base Bir Sreshtho Matiur Rahman, Jashore today (Monday, 9 March) due to a sudden mechanical fault during a routine training flight, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.
According to an ISPR press release, the pilot quickly assessed the situation and executed a safe emergency landing on the runway. The pilot is unharmed, and the aircraft sustained no damage.
Technical teams from the Air Force have arrived at the site and have begun investigating the cause of the fault and conducting a thorough inspection of the aircraft.
Preliminary information indicates that the training aircraft experienced a tyre burst, which caused damage to the propeller.
No injuries or casualties were reported, and the situation is fully under control. A detailed investigation is underway, and further updates will be provided as required.
