BUET Undergraduate Admission Results for 2025-26 Session Released
The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has officially released the results of the undergraduate admission test for the 2025-26 academic session. The results were published on the university's official website late Wednesday night (January 28).
Aspiring students can now access their results and merit positions through the university's portal. The admission test was held earlier this month on January 10 in two shifts, witnessing a high turnout of candidates.
Participation and Statistics
According to a press release issued by BUET, the examination saw a significant turnout from the shortlisted applicants:

Shortlisted Candidates: 10,351 students were initially selected based on merit to appear for the test.

Participant Breakdown: Among the shortlisted, 7,644 were male and 2,707 were female.

Attendance: A total of 9,051 students actually sat for the exam, marking an attendance rate of 87.44%.
Faculties and Available Seats
Admission will be granted across 13 departments under five major faculties: Chemical and Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Architecture and Planning.
The total number of seats for this year is 1,309, which includes specifically reserved spots:

General Seats: Distributed across the 13 departments.

Reserved Seats: 3 seats are reserved for candidates from small ethnic groups in the Chittagong Hill Tracts and other regions (no more than 1 seat per department) for Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning.

Architecture Reserved Seat: 1 seat is reserved specifically for the Department of Architecture.
