DU Fine Arts Unit result timeline hinted by authority
The undergraduate admission test for Dhaka University’s Fine Arts Unit (2025-26 session) was held on Saturday (29 November). A total of 6,521 candidates applied for the unit, meaning roughly 50 students competed for each of the 130 available seats.
Students are eagerly awaiting the result announcement. Speaking to The Daily Campus, authorities said the Fine Arts Unit result is expected to be ready within the next 20 days, after which the central university administration will decide the exact publication date.
When asked about the timeline, Fine Arts Faculty Dean Professor Dr Azharul Islam Sheikh told The Daily Campus on Sunday (30 November): “We plan to complete the evaluation and prepare the Fine Arts Unit result within the next 20 days. The final decision on when to publish it will be taken centrally by the university authorities. For this reason, I cannot give an exact date right now.”
Context This year, Dhaka University received a total of 2,84,216 applications across all units for the 2025-26 session – about 45,000 fewer than the 3,29,000 applications received last year. This means an average of 46 candidates per seat university-wide.
For the Fine Arts Unit specifically, the competition stood at 50.17 candidates per seat. The university’s Public Relations Office confirmed that 6,521 aspirants applied for the 130 seats.
