Uncertainty Looms Over 9th Teacher Recruitment Circular

Severe uncertainty has surfaced regarding the initiation of the 9th teacher recruitment process, which aims to recruit over 77,000 entry-level teachers across private schools, colleges, madrasahs, and technical education institutions. Administrative sources reveal that the unexpected stagnation has been caused by the absence of a permanent chairperson at the helm of the regulatory body.

A source within the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) confirmed on Saturday (June 6) that all necessary groundwork and preliminary preparations for releasing the 9th teacher recruitment circular had already been completed. The authority had even mapped out a strategic operational roadmap for the entire recruitment cycle. The official publication of the circular was slated to take place immediately following the physical verification of the submitted vacant posts. However, a sudden leadership transition at the executive level has brought the entire process to a grinding halt. The source further asserted that this bureaucratic deadlock is unlikely to be resolved until a permanent chairperson is officially appointed.

Administrative Decisions Stalled Indefinitely

When contacted to provide an official statement on the matter, Nura Alam Siddiqui, an NTRCA member currently holding the additional charge of acting chairperson, declined to comment on the internal crisis.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior NTRCA official reiterated that the primary bottleneck preventing the release of the 9th recruitment circular is the vacant chairperson position. The official noted that the leadership vacuum has not only derailed the upcoming mass recruitment drive but has also practically paralyzed all non-routine and major policy-driven operations within the NTRCA, leaving day-to-day routine tasks as the only surviving functions.
