50th BCS Written Exam Results in Late July: PSC

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) is planning to publish the written examination results of the 50th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) by the end of this current month. If the evaluation process proceeds without any unforeseen disruptions, the long-awaited results are highly likely to be officially announced during the final week of July. The written evaluations, which commenced nationwide on April 9, concluded on April 23.

A reliable source within the PSC confirmed on Sunday (July 19) that the ambitious institutional strategy to wrap up a complete BCS cycle within a single year was specially formulated with the 50th BCS iteration as its primary target. Consequently, in strict accordance with the fast-track roadmap, the evaluation teams have structured their workflows to deliver the written assessment outcomes by late July.

When approached for an official update on the matter, S. M. Matiur Rahman, Public Relations Officer of the PSC, confirmed the projected timeline to The Daily Campus.

"There is a strong possibility that the written examination results of the 50th BCS will be published towards the end of this month," Rahman stated.

Background of the 50th BCS Cycle

The journey of the 50th BCS began with its preliminary examination held on January 30, followed by a remarkably swift result publication on February 10. A total of 12,385 candidates successfully cleared the preliminary barrier to qualify for the subsequent written phase.

The official circular for this landmark BCS iteration was released by the commission on November 26 of last year, aiming to recruit candidates against a comprehensive pool of 2,150 vacancies. The total allotment includes 1,755 posts across various cadre services alongside 395 positions within non-cadre ranks.

Highest Allocations Across Cadres

According to the official structural distribution, the government will absorb the maximum number of successful officers into the health sector to bolster institutional healthcare infrastructure. The specific breakdowns for the top three cadre allocations include:

• BCS Health: 650 positions (Highest allocation)

• BCS Administration: 200 positions

• BCS Education: 185 positions
