TikTok Removes Over 1.62 Crore Videos from Bangladesh in 2025

Popular short-video platform TikTok removed more than 1.62 crore videos from Bangladesh in the second quarter of 2025 for violating its community guidelines. This information has emerged from the platform's recently released Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, covering the period from April to June 2025.
According to the report, TikTok removed a total of 1,62,45,593 videos in Bangladesh during this time. Of these, 99.7% were proactively removed, and 97.5% were taken down within 24 hours of detection.
Globally, in the same period, TikTok removed 18,95,78,228 videos, accounting for approximately 0.7% of all uploaded content on the platform. Out of these, 1,63,96,224 videos were automatically detected and removed. Meanwhile, after review, 74,57,309 videos were restored to the platform.
The report further states that 99.1% of videos worldwide were proactively identified and removed, with 94.4% addressed within 24 hours. Additionally, TikTok deleted 7,69,91,660 fake accounts and another 2,59,04,708 accounts identified as belonging to users under 13 years of age.
A topic-wise analysis reveals that 30.6% of videos were removed due to sensitive content violating TikTok's content policy. Another 14% were taken down for breaching safety guidelines, while 6.1% violated privacy and security instructions. Additionally, 45% of videos were flagged and removed for spreading misinformation, and 23.8% for being edited or AI-generated content.
