Abdullah Shibli Sadiq, public relations officer for the Ministry of Education and an official of the BCS Information-General cadre, has been removed from his post and reassigned to the Press Information Department.

The administrative reassignment was confirmed on Monday through an official office order issued by Salma Hasnayen, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. According to the directives, Sadiq has been placed as an Officer on Special Duty, and his previous attachment as the ministry's public relations officer has been officially cancelled with immediate effect.

The notification came to light on the same day the Ministry of Education released the nationwide outcomes for the 2026 Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations, which recorded an overall pass rate of 62.25 percent across eleven education boards. While the ministry has not formally linked the administrative reshuffle to the publication of the public exam results, the timing of the order has drawn significant attention across educational and administrative circles in Dhaka.
