Ad-din Medical College Hospital Regains Operating License

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has restored the revoked operating license of Ad-din Medical College Hospital in Mogbazar, following a satisfactory findings report submitted by a government inspection committee.

The decision was finalized on Monday (July 27) during a high-level meeting at the health ministry. A senior official from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed the development to The Daily Campus.

According to the official, an investigation committee was formed on July 15 to evaluate the appeal and detailed submissions filed by the hospital management, with instructions to inspect the medical facility within three working days. Following an on-site verification, the committee submitted its report, which the ministry found satisfactory.

Consequently, the health ministry reinstated the hospital's operating license subject to three mandatory conditions:

Regulatory Compliance: The institution must strictly maintain continuous compliance with the provisions of The Medical Practice and Private Clinics and Laboratories (Regulation) Ordinance, 1982.

Staffing Standards: Hospital authorities must rapidly complete the recruitment process for required duty doctors and nurses as mandated by the licensing terms.

Enforcement Provision: The authorized government body reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings at any time if the hospital fails to uphold the licensing conditions.

Health Secretary Md. Kamruzzaman Chowdhury issued an official letter to the hospital authorities on Monday, formally conveying the decision to restore the license.
