Although the results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were tentatively scheduled for release on July 20, the publication has been deferred. Official sources confirmed that unforeseen administrative engagements have caused a shift in the timeline. While a definitive new date has not yet been finalized, authorities assured that the results will be published within the ongoing month of July.

Confirming the development to The Daily Campus on Saturday (July 18), Professor Syed Akteruzzaman, Chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, said:

"It will not be possible to publish the results on July 20. Due to various ongoing complexities surrounding the HSC examinations, we were unable to fully process the compilation. We are now gearing up our preparations to publish the results toward the end of this month."

Emphasizing that the publication will definitely occur within July, he added, "We were initially directed to have everything finalized by July 20. However, due to unfavorable circumstances, it was not achievable on our part. Nevertheless, our teams are working relentlessly to complete the task."

Previously, Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon had stated on multiple public occasions that the SSC and equivalent exam results would be delivered by July 20. Following those announcements, the Ministry of Education tasked the coordination committee with final preparations. While the operations are actively moving forward, a Monday release has now been officially ruled out.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, several senior officials of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee told The Daily Campus:

"We were operating strictly with the July 20 target in mind. However, due to the current situation demanding our engagement in urgent administrative duties, the final compilation could not be wrapped up in time. Consequently, the publication will face a delay of a few days."

As per standard protocol, public exam results are systematically published within 60 days of the conclusion of the written examinations. The theoretical assessments for this academic session commenced on April 21. The written exams under the general education boards concluded on May 20, whereas the Dakhil (Madrasah) and the SSC/Dakhil Vocational written evaluations wrapped up on May 24.

  • SSC (General Education Boards): 1,418,398 candidates

  • Dakhil (Madrasah Board): 304,286 candidates

  • SSC & Dakhil Vocational: 134,660 candidates
