In response to demands from a section of students to postpone the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations under the Dhaka Education Board due to torrential rains and hostile weather conditions, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon stated that the ministry is keeping the situation under close observation and will meet shortly to formulate a strategic solution.

The Minister shared the update while responding to queries from journalists during a press conference held today, Sunday (July 12), at 12:00 PM in the conference room of the International Mother Language Institute. The briefing was also attended by Mahdee Amin, Adviser to the Prime Minister and Spokesperson of the PMO, alongside State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj.

"We are currently keeping a close eye on the unfolding situation and will convene another meeting shortly. We are working to find a viable solution to this issue," Minister Ehsanul Hoque Milon said.

He added, "We have not yet received the latest meteorology report and are actively waiting for it, given that Dhaka has also experienced heavy downpours. Just a few moments ago, I was discussing these pressing matters with the Adviser and the Secretary."

The Minister emphasized that the government is maintaining continuous contact with the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) across all 64 districts and the respective education board chairmen to monitor regional developments before finalizing any exam scheduling decisions. He assured that exam schedules are being updated regularly, and comprehensive plans are being drafted to reschedule any examinations that are forced to be deferred.
