Medical Admission Test on December 12: Written Component Added for First Time

The date for the 2025-26 academic year's MBBS admission test for government and private medical colleges has been finalized, with the exam set for December 12 across the country.
For the first time, the test will feature a written section alongside the traditional MCQ format, marking a significant shift to assess deeper understanding.
The decision was made at an informal meeting at the Health Education and Family Welfare Ministry on Monday.
Attendees included DGME Director General Prof. Dr. Nazmul Hossain, BM&DC President Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Joint Secretary Mallika Khatun, and Director Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Matubber, among other officials.
An official at the meeting told *The Daily Campus*, “The written part, a new addition, will be limited to 10-20 marks to evaluate analytical skills. BM&DC will finalize the details.”
DGME Director General Prof. Dr. Nazmul Hossain said, “The admission test will be held on December 12. Preparations are underway, and application details will be announced soon.”
On the written component, he added, “There will be a written section to better gauge candidates' abilities. The marks will be disclosed shortly.”
