Hamza Choudhury arrives in Dhaka for key Asian Cup qualifier against Hong Kong

Bangladesh national team's midfielder Hamza Choudhury arrived in Dhaka on Saturday for the crucial AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier against Hong Kong.
The first leg will be held on October 9 at the National Stadium in Dhaka, followed by the return fixture on October 14 in Hong Kong.
The national team's preparation camp, led by coach Javier Cabrera, began on September 30 ahead of the match.
However, injuries to several players have dealt a blow to the squad, with forwards Mohammad Ibrahim and Suman Reza leaving the camp.
Forward Mohammad Al Amin and defenders Tapu Barman and Tariq Kazi have yet to rejoin training.
Before Sunday's practice at the National Stadium, Cabrera said, “Suman and Ibra were in good shape at the start. Along with Tariq, Tapu, and Al Amin—these five joined the camp. But we identified injury issues. We tried our best to prepare Suman and Ibhra for the match, but unfortunately, it wasn't possible. They have returned to their clubs with treatment plans.”
Bangladesh has earned just one point from the first two matches in the qualifiers, while Hong Kong has four. To stay alive in the group stage, Jamal Bhuiyan's side must win both upcoming fixtures.
