Top 10 in Medical-Dental Admission Test
The results of the admission test for the 2025-26 academic session in government and private medical and dental colleges across the country have been published. The results were released this Sunday (14 December) afternoon. This year, the pass rate stands at 66.57 percent.
Among them, 5,645 candidates have been initially selected based on merit and preferences. In this fierce competition, the national merit list of the top 10 has been published. Here are the top 10:
In the published results, Jahangir Alam Shanto from the capital's Government Science College has secured the first position in the national merit list. He scored 91.25 marks. The second position has been achieved by Tasnia Toufik Nabiha from Holy Cross College; she scored 91 marks. The third position has been secured by Tahmidul Alam from Chittagong College. He scored 90.75 marks.
The fourth position has been achieved by Mishkatul Jannat Sadia from Chittagong College. The fifth position in the merit list has been secured by Md. Fardin Hossain from the same college. The sixth position has been achieved by Mohammad Minhajul Haque from Notre Dame College. From the same college, Syed Majedul Islam and Arafat Rohan have secured the seventh and eighth positions.
The ninth position has been achieved by Dipon Devnath from Khulna's Government M.M. City College. And the tenth position has been secured by Tasnova Tasnim Usha from Uttara High School and College.
In this year's admission test, the number of candidates who appeared is 120,440 (98.21%). The number of absent candidates is 2,192 (1.79%). And the number of expelled candidates is 2. The total number of passed candidates in the admission test is 81,642 (66.57%), among whom male candidates are 31,128 (38.13%) and female candidates are 50,514 (61.87%).
According to the statistics of the results, one-third of the medical admission results this year are second-timers. Besides, 88 candidates are currently studying in various government medical and dental colleges from the previous year. It is learnt that among the successful candidates, 3,850 appeared in the Higher Secondary examination in 2025. And 1,707 students are second-timers.
