On-Campus Undergraduate Applications Open at National University Today
The admission notification for the first-year undergraduate program for the 2025–26 academic session at the main campus of National University has been officially released. Online application processing formally opens today, June 25, and will accept submissions until July 23 at 12:00 AM. The centralized directives were formalized via an official admission release issued by the National University authorities on Sunday (June 21).
According to the guidelines, students will be enrolled in four-year undergraduate honors courses managed directly on the university's main campus. For the current academic cycle, applications are being received under four specialized departments: Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Nutrition and Food Science.
Prospective applicants must satisfy distinct minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirements across their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent evaluations to qualify for the entrance test. Check the official admission portal of National University.
For candidates hailing from the Humanities and Business Studies streams, a minimum individual GPA of 3.00 in both SSC and HSC equivalents is mandatory, alongside a combined aggregate GPA of 6.50.
For applicants from the Science stream, the bar is set at a minimum individual GPA of 3.50 in both public examinations, with a mandatory combined aggregate GPA of 7.50.
The university has also extended application pathways for students graduating with O-Level and A-Level qualifications, alongside international certificate holders, provided they fulfill the structurally equivalent institutional prerequisites.
Eligible candidates will have to sit for a 100-mark screening examination structured entirely on Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) frameworks. The evaluation paper will encompass segments on Bengali, English, General Knowledge, and respective group-centric core disciplines. The baseline pass mark for the screening exam is fixed at 35.
The final merit list will be formulated out of a total cumulative matrix of 200 marks. This score will combine the 100 marks obtained in the campus admission test with another 100 marks calculated proportionately from the candidate's historical SSC and HSC results. No applicant failing to secure the minimum pass marks in the written test will be considered for the final merit listings.
Aspiring students must log on to the official admission portal of National University to complete and submit their digital enrollment forms. The primary processing fee has been designated at 1,000 BDT, and applicants must download a printed copy of their completed form once the transaction is verified. The exact dates, schedules, and specific venue distribution for the admission tests will be notified through subsequent press releases.
While the primary application fee remains 1,000 BDT, selected students transitioning to final enrollment will have to pay a consolidated fee of 15,145 BDT covering final admission, academic registration, and associated institutional heads. National University authorities explicitly clarified that since the main campus operates entirely as a non-residential institution, no residential hall or housing facilities will be provided to the incoming undergraduate cohorts.
