At the beginning of this month, it was known right after the BCB board meeting in Sylhet that the BCB election would be held in the first week of October. Although no specific date was announced at that time. However, last week, as part of the election preparations, the country's cricket governing body formed a three-member election commission. Subsequently, it was officially announced that the BCB Board of Directors' election will be held on October 4.

Meanwhile, preparations for the election have already begun in various ways. However, BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul has stated that he has not seen any kind of grouping or division centering around the election so far.

Bulbul said, "I am not seeing any groups. Those who will come to the election, they will all conduct the election together. It will be a united celebration. That's how I am seeing the matter."

Regarding the election environment, Bulbul further said, "What we are seeing is that the environment is still being created. Councillorships are still coming in. After September 18, the whole matter will go into the hands of the election commissioner. The members who are there have a lot of board work going on at this moment. Along with that, election work is ongoing. We are now focusing on the work so that a successful and smooth election takes place."

On the other hand, Aminul also spoke about Bangladesh's match to stay alive in the upcoming Asia Cup. However, avoiding direct comments on the team, the BCB chief said, "These are two different matters. September 16, the match is very important for us. For our survival in the tournament. As board president, I do not want to comment on the team."
