Curriculum Changes Planned for Fazil-Kamil: IAU VC

The Vice-Chancellor of the Islamic Arabic University (IAU), Professor Dr Md Shamsul Alam, has announced upcoming changes to the curriculum of Honours, Fazil, and Kamil programmes offered by madrasas.

 

Speaking at a press conference held at the Islamic University (IU) press corner on Sunday (18 May) afternoon, Dr Alam addressed journalists working at the university.

 

During the interaction, he elaborated, “We are working to advance the Islamic Arabic University. Reforming madrasa education is essential. We are revising the madrasa curriculum to ensure that students not only excel as scholars of Islamic studies but also acquire modern education.” Regarding the issue of session backlogs, he added, “We are addressing the session jam as well. The Islamic Arabic University has already overcome much of this challenge. We are confident that within the next year, the university will be free of session backlogs entirely.”

 

The event was attended by Professor Dr Mostafizur Rahman, Head of the Al-Hadith Department and Acting Director of IIER, as well as Mohammad Ali, Controller of Examinations at IAU. Also present were Azharul Islam, General Secretary of the University Press Club, Rakib Rifat, General Secretary of the Journalists’ Association, and other journalists. During the session, the Vice-Chancellor provided valuable guidance and advice to the journalists.
