Junior Scholarship Exam in Jashore Board: 38,346 Candidates Across 62 Centres

The Junior Scholarship Examination will commence on December 28 under the Jashore Education Board, with 38,346 candidates participating at 62 centres across 10 districts. Jashore district has the highest number of examinees at 7,054.

The board's controller of examinations, Professor Dr. Abdul Matin, confirmed this to The Daily Campus. He said the exam will be held at eight centres in Jashore: Jashore Zilla School (1,948), Keshabpur Government Pilot High School (650), Manirampur Government Girls' High School (1,070), Nawapara Shankar Pasha Government Secondary School (651), Bagharpara Government Pilot High School (524), Jhikarhata Government ML Model Secondary School (790), Sharsha Government Pilot Model Secondary School (746), and Chaugacha Government Shahadat Pilot Model Secondary School (649).

In Khulna district, 5,912 candidates will appear at 12 centres, including Khulna Zilla School (889), Khulna Government Girls' High School (337), Naval Academy School and College (865), Koyra Madinabad Government Model Secondary School (344), Dumuria Government Girls' High School (749), Paikgacha Government High School (629), Batiaghata Thana Headquarters Pilot Model Secondary School (387), Ikhri Katinga Fazlul Haq Model Government Secondary School (274), Sarjadia Government High School (432), RI Union School and College (363), Chalna Bazar Government Girls' High School (375), and Senhati Government Secondary School (228).

Bagherhat district has 3,520 candidates at nine centres: Bagherhat Government Girls' High School (676), Mulghar Government High School (401), Government Wajed Memorial Secondary School (347), Government Coronation Sobhan Pilot Model Secondary School (185), Chitalmari SM Model Secondary School (371), Shreepathfoltola Pilot Secondary School (368), St. Paul's High School (333), Rayenda Government Pilot Secondary School (199), and Morrelganj AC Laha Pilot High School (640).

Satkhira's seven centres will host 4,291 candidates: Satkhira Government High School (997), Shaheed Aree Ahmad Government Girls' High School (661), Kaloraoya Government GK MK Pilot High School (579), Ashashuni Government Secondary School (51), Debhata Government Vipin Bihari Memorial Public Institute (291), Kaliganj Government Pilot Model Secondary School (623), and Nakipur Government Haricharan Pilot Secondary School (589).

Kushtia's six centres have 4,769 candidates: Kushtia Zilla School (1,425), Khoksa Janipur Government Secondary School (334), Kumarkhali Mathuranath Pilot Model Secondary School (696), Bheramara Government Pilot Model High School (581), Mirpur Government Girls' High School (615), and Daulatpur Government Pilot Model Secondary School (1,118).

Chuadanga's four centres will see 2,599 candidates: Victoria Jubilee Government High School (781), Alamdanga Pilot Secondary Girls' School (888), and Damurhuda Government Pilot High School (530).

Meherpur's three centres have 1,847 candidates: Meherpur Government High School (630), Gangni Government Pilot Secondary Girls' School (966), and Mujibnagar Government Secondary School (251).

Jhenaidah's six centres host 4,292 candidates: Jhenaidah Government High School (1,110), Harinakundu Government Girls' High School (454), Government Noldanga Bhushan Pilot Secondary School (698), Kotchandpur Government Model Pilot Secondary School (423), Maheshpur Government Degree College (788), and Shailkupa Government Pilot High School (819).

Narail's three centres have 1,919 candidates: Narail Government High School (739), Lohagara Government Pilot High School (664), and Kalia Government Pilot Model Secondary School (516).

Magura's four centres will see 2,139 candidates: Magura Government High School (912), Sreepur Government SM Pilot Secondary School (436), Government Mohammadpur RS KEM High Institution (440), and Arpara Government Ideal High School (351).

Exam Details: The Jashore Board's controller of examinations, Md. Aminul Islam, said, “All preparations for the Junior Scholarship Exam are complete. Like the rest of the country, it will be held smoothly and peacefully under Jashore Board.”

The exam, for students in classes 5–8, aims to provide financial aid to meritorious students from low-income families. Results are expected in February 2026.
