DU Bans Guests and Outsiders in Halls Starting Today

In preparation for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and hall union elections, the university authorities have issued a directive prohibiting anyone other than valid students from staying in the university’s residential halls, effective from today, Tuesday, September 2.

The directive was announced through a notice signed by Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin, the Chief Returning Officer for the DUCSU and hall union elections 2025. The notice states: “On the occasion of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and hall union elections, no outsiders or guests, except valid students, are permitted to stay in the university’s halls from September 2, 2025.”
